The Netiquette+ MOOC and Didactic handbook offers a flexible learning path for adult learners and supports adult educators to better guide them throughout the process of engaging ethically, constructively and critically in the digital arena. The MOOC is designed to offer a package of interactive content, to achieve the learning outcomes structured in the competence framework, so that learners can acquire specific knowledge, skills and attitudes related to each subject area or unit. Additionally, to support adult educators in the process of transferring relevant knowledge and skills and to better guide and advise adult learners on the adoption of suitable standards of conduct in the digital arena, the Didactic handbook is developed and structured into two main parts:
- Tips on andragogy and digital education,
- Hands-on lesson plans per MOOC unit.
Considering the potential of MOOCs for lifelong learning, as well as for the direct and indirect acquisition of digital skills, the MOOC is an innovative attempt to boost adult learning pathways, as much as it will foster awareness regarding the key role played by netiquette in an increasingly digital society. As well as, the Didactic handbook will help adult educators to tackle this subject effectively.
