Relevance with key area: The online course relates to the topic of fake news and addresses the importance of the responsible use of information. Methodology: The course has a very broad approach. It contains 7 units which correspond to a seven week course. The structure is modular. Peer-topeer learning is also an important element of the course. Helpful to learning and teaching professionals is the attached lesson plan which structures step by step the learning content and relates to the relevant slides. Furthermore, the units contain additional assignments with exercises on the topic. Target group: Higher education learners and persons working in education and training, especially teachers. No age restrictions are mentioned. All persons trained with this course, independently of their age, could be potential beneficiaries. Results: Make people aware what fake news are, how to detect them and how to produce and publish own information in a responsible way.
